AN INNOVATIVE SPORTS PROJECT DESIGNED FOR EU TENDER
Abstract
The paper deals about an innovative of one sports project between Croatia and Serbia, which is designed for the EU fund competition in the category of cross-border cooperation. The project would take a year and would take place through tournaments in several cities, in which some clubs on both sides of the border would participate. Other partners in this project, in addition to the clubs would be: regional governments, some local governments, regional coaches’ associations and regional referees’ associations. The tournament would have a men’s, women's and children's category. The competitions would take place in the morning after which a trip would take place and after it everyone would go to an education, which would be led by experts from various fields of sports. Presidents, secretaries and board members of would join education classes in sports management, players and referees would do the same in game rules, and coaches in areas related to sports training. After the education all participants would have dinner together, after which a gathering would be organized with a entertainment programme, after which the participants would go their own ways in anticipation of the next meeting in the next town on the other side of the border. The project would have its project manager, its web site and an accountant so that all sports and business activities can be recorded, and the project would be successfully managed and implemented. This type of an innovative sports projects would certainly improve the practice of sport management. Partners in the project should donate a 15% share compared to the value of the project and the remaining 85% of funds would be granted from EU funds. In the last competition of cross-border cooperation are two volleyball clubs successfully achieved this type of cooperation.
